The Faculty of Graduate Studies administers applications and formally admits graduate students, tracks academic progress, administers merit-based scholarships, doctoral examinations and thesis submissions during graduate students’ time at UBC Vancouver Campus. The Faculty provides services and support from the initial application to Orientation for new students up until Graduation.

You will find important information to manage your program – e.g. leaves of absence, deadlines, forms, procedures – and to succeed in your program on the Faculty website, including financial award applications and management, your responsibilities as a student, student-supervisor relationship and much more.

Graduate Student Society

The Graduate Student Society represents the needs and interests of all UBC graduate students by developing collaborative relationships with UBC administrators and with the Province of British Columbia. The Society provides graduate students with a range of services including social events, sports leagues, film presentations, health and dental plan, meeting space and advocacy office.
