The exchange of goods, movement of people and flow of ideas is what defines the global economy. These activities peaked in the early 1900s but retreated at the onset of WWI. A century later, globalization is again at a crossroads. Technology has made it easy for the world to interact in real time, yet the integration of goods, capital and labor markets is threatened by populism, inequality and the threat of war. Can a global integrated economic system overcome these perils and deliver prosperity for all?
