The Faculty of Arts and CiTR 101.9 FM present Arts on Air.

Welcome to a new season of Arts on Air.  A brand new format sees UBC School of Journalism students Brittany Duggan and Rachel Sanders host our fourth exciting season. UBC’s top writers, philosophers, researchers, singers and actors in the Humanities, Social Sciences and Creative and Performing Arts are featured every second Monday at 6:30 pm on CiTR 101.9FM.  Provocative interviews, expert commentary and the latest updates from the Faculty of Arts make for an informative and entertaining segment. All shows are podcast and archived for future access.

About the Hosts

Brittany Duggan is is a second year graduate student at the UBC School of Journalism. She is a research assistant for the School’s social media lab, regular contributor and online editor for a national arts magazine and spent this past summer interning with CBC Radio and for the Georgia Straight. Originally from B.C., Brittany received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from York University, and danced professionally in Toronto for over six years.

Rachel Sanders is a Vancouver-based journalist, editor and photographer. Her work has been broadcast on CBC Radio and has appeared in the pages of the Georgia Straight, the Toronto Star and the Victoria Times-Colonist. She is currently a graduate student at UBC’s School of Journalism where she is exploring stories about labour, education and the arts.
