Digital Scholarship in Arts (DiSA) is a hub for knowledge exchange, fostering collaboration, and cultivating a community of Arts researchers engaged in digital scholarship. We are here to support you in your research and connect you to the most relevant and innovative resources
on campus.

DiSA is an initiative from the Dean of Arts Office that aims to develop embedded computational and software support for researchers in Arts, and to stimulate faculty and graduate training opportunities in the Digital Humanities.

Our primary focus is on developing the necessary technical and human infrastructure to advance digital research and scholarship in the Faculty of Arts as a whole, supporting scholarship across the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Creative and Performing Arts.

Partners

This initiative brings together the Faculty of Arts, the UBC Library, and the Public Humanities Hub in a collaborative partnership.

Our Approach

Our first phase will be to capture the needs of the Faculty of Arts and to provide support and consultation to Arts faculty and staff.

We will then be providing hands-on training and support for faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in alliance with our UBC partners. We will equip researchers with the necessary understanding and language to develop successful grant applications for projects that have digital components and to initiate such research.
