Connie Wu (she/her), BA’20 Media Studies Communications Specialist, University of British Columbia Connie Wu graduated from UBC in 2020 with a degree in Media Studies and now works in communications and marketing at UBC, specializing in digital content and events. She’s passionate about multimedia storytelling and using communications to build community. With 5+ years of experience, Connie focuses on turning ideas into clear strategies, content that lands, and practical systems that make teams’ work easier.
Daniel Holloway (he/him), BA’07 History Manager of Dispute Resolution, BC Public Service A graduate of UBC in 2007, Daniel worked a variety of jobs before attending law school in 2009. After earning his LL.B, Daniel began working at an immigration firm and then worked at the Allard School of Law. Thanks to his time at UBC, Daniel has lived and worked in Paris, London, and Burkina Faso.
Marc Goffaux (he/him), BA’17 Economics Chief Compliance Officer, Amur Capital Marc is the Chief Compliance Officer at Amur Capital, where he applies his compliance and operations expertise from his experience as a CCO at a local private equity real estate firm. Marc holds a B.A. (Hons) in Economics from the University of British Columbia and is a CAIA Charterholder. In his free time you’ll find him playing tennis, running, and spending time with his family.
Felicia Slogoski (she/her), BA’22 Political Science & JD’25 Articling Student, Merchant Law Group LLP Felicia is a proud Faculty of Arts alumni who earned a BA in Political Science with a minor in Law and Society and graduating with distinction in 2022. After completing her BA, Felicia walked across the street from Arts at UBC and obtained her Juris Doctor from the Allard School of Law, graduating this in May 2025. Felicia just passed the bar exam, and is currently working on finishing her articles, the last step before becoming a lawyer. Felicia is honoured to be a part of this event and is always happy to give back to her beloved UBC community.
Christina Lou (she/her), BA’17 Political Science and Economics Insurance & Wealth Management Advisor, AlphaPrime Financial Services Inc. Christina Lou is an Insurance and Wealth Management Advisor who helps individuals and families protect what matters most while building financial confidence through thoughtful planning. She specializes in life insurance, living benefits, and investment strategies that evolve with clients through every stage of life. She is currently pursuing the CFP designation as part of her commitment to continuous learning and excellence in financial planning.
Beata Chami (she/her), BA’12 Spanish Industrial Psychologist & Executive Coach – Owner of Magnify Consulting Beata Chami is an Organizational Psychologist, executive coach, and mediator specializing in psychological health and safety and leadership development. She’s worked across hospitality, healthcare, municipal, and post-secondary sectors, blending research, storytelling, and facilitation to drive sustainable behaviour change. Her work focuses on helping leaders create workplace cultures where people feel heard, respected, and able to perform at their best.
Julian Lam (he/him), BA’22 International Relations JD Candidate, Peter A. Allard School of Law + Youth Fellow,Centre for Media, Technology, and Democracy (MTD) / Fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) Julian Lam is a JD Candidate at UBC’s Allard School of Law and a Youth Fellow at McGill’s Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy, where he works on AI governance and technology policy. He has contributed to national initiatives on democratic approaches to AI regulation and also serves as a Fellow with the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI). Julian has worked across public and private sectors in technology, including at the Digital Technology Supercluster, Arc’teryx, and Hiive.
