The Arts Career Design Studio is a cohort-based\, 2-day intensive program for undergraduate Arts students acr oss all majors and year levels. Participants will learn tools to design a m eaningful path through their Arts degree and think about life after graduat ion\; develop the skills to conduct an effective job search\; practice tell ing their unique story verbally and in writing\; and have the opportunity t o meet with professionals employed in various industries.
This progra m takes place in-person at multiple locations in downtown Vancouver: the wo rkshops will be held at UBC’s Robson Square campus\, and the meetings with professionals will be held at their workplaces\, typically within a 15 minu te walk of Robson Square. Given space constraints as well as the level of c oordination that it requires to plan this off-campus program\, we kindly re quest that you register to participate in this program by Sunday\, February 8.
Students are strongly encouraged to attend the full Studio progra m\, and those who do participate in the full series will be recognized with a document showing that they have completed an intensive professional deve lopment program.
The full schedule of this program is as follows (exa ct times may be altered slightly\, but registrants will receive a confirmat ion email the week prior to the program with more precise times):
Wednesday\, February 18: Workshop sessions at UBC Robson Square from 9:00 AM- 12:30 PM\, lunch break from 12:30-1:30 PM (bring or buy your own lunch)\, a nd workplace visits from 1:30-5 PM.
