NIGHT SHIFT Cabaret: Body Language

Reimagine the future of culture and social change at MOA’s monthly cabaret party. Join us on the first Thursday of every month for an unexpected mix of comedy, music, dance and experimental theatre by some of the most interesting artists from Vancouver and beyond.

Taking place in the spectacular Great Hall, Night Shift features diverse voices who have something provocative to say. Hang around before and after the show to share drinks and discussion in our lobby bar, or explore the museum with friends new and old.

October 5: Body Language
How can movement teach us to speak a new language? Taiwan’s Assembly Dance Theatre performs a work inspired by calligraphy and shows you how to write with your body.

November 2: Day of the Dead
Explore ideas of the afterlife in different cultures through an interactive performance from SITE Theatre, before making your own offerings to commemorate the dead.
December 7: Supernatural Vibes
Move aside, boys! Emcee Suzette Amaya curates an all-female lineup of Indigenous spoken word and hip-hop performers from around the Northwest Coast.
