Owen Chong (he/him), BA’22 Film Studies & MM’23 Digital Media Specialist, Push Operations I’m a graduate of the B+MM Class of 2023 cohort specializing in digital media, content creation, production, and project management. Bridging my formal education with my experiences as an entrepreneur has led me to a fulfilling career in marketing and social media, where I create things that tell stories and bring people together. Outside of work, you can find me at social events all around Vancouver, or hosting my own!
Sim Bhullar (she/her), BA’19 Psychology and English & JD’22 Lawyer. Fleetwood Family Law Sim Bhullar is a 3rd year call lawyer who did undergrad and law school at UBC. She has engaged in court at every level in the BC jurisdiction. She loves engaging with the community, including students interested in law or post-secondary education in general.
Miguel Dalmacio (he/him), BA’17 English, Law & Society minor Strategic Account Executive, Canada, Clio Miguel is a proud UBC Arts & Arts One alumnus and a Strategic Account Executive at Clio for the Canadian market, where he leverages over eight years of experience in SaaS sales to help law firms across Canada modernize and grow. He is passionate about team collaboration and providing actionable insights into transitioning from university life to the professional tech workforce.
Mason Margotta (he/him), BA’17 Asian Studies Manager, FTMBA Student Experience, Sauder School of Business Hello! I currently work for the Sauder Graduate school helping to manage the student experience for two of our programs, which involves administration, student support, and academic advising. I have worked at UBC for over 5 years in various roles, including in Residence Life and for the Arts Compass! I have also worked at UVic previously, and did my Undergraduate degree here at UBC in Asian Area Studies.
David Yuen (he/him), BA’12 International Relations Manager, Student Services, UBC Faculty of Dentistry David Yuen is a student affairs professional with over 13 years of experience in career and academic advising, program administration, business development, and academic systems. David developed his passion for helping students achieve their personal and professional goals through his time with UBC’s Arts Co-op Program, Arts Academic Advising, and now currently with the Faculty of Dentistry.
Jane McGrath (she/her), BA’19 Sociology, Law & Society minor Development Associate, Colliers Strategy & Consulting Jane McGrath is a Development Associate with Colliers’ Development Advisory team, where she specializes in rezoning applications, municipal mandates, permitting, and development projects. Originally from Vancouver and a UBC graduate, she has spent the past four years in Toronto’s real estate development industry. Her experience includes contributing to ‘super-tall’ mixed-use towers and high-rise residential projects, notably one of Canada’s tallest residential tower, The ONE.
Logan Anschell (he/him), BA’25 Political Science, Japanese minor Clerk, Business and Government Relations, City of Surrey Logan is a recent graduate of the Political Science and Asian Studies departments working towards a career in international law and foreign policy. He currently supports the City of Surrey across the Business & Government Relations division encompassing Economic Investment Services, Government, and Indigenous Relations, where he contributes to strategic initiatives and provides analysis to inform Senior Management decision-making.
