 hem)\, BA’05 English and JD’16</strong><br /><img class="alignleft size-ful

 " /> Noa Moses is in-house legal counsel at the Hospital Employees Union\, 
 where they practice union-side labour law. Prior to joining the HEU\, Noa w
 orked in Aboriginal and Indigenous law\, class action litigation\, criminal
  defence (specializing in wrongful convictions)\, and constitutional law. N
 oa has advocated on behalf of 2SLGBTQ+ people since law school\, including 
 by providing legal services through QMUNITY’s Trans ID Clinic and the Cathe
 rine White Holman Wellness Centre.</p><p><strong>Praveen Sandhu (she/her)\,
  BA’98 Political Science and JD’16</strong><br /><img class="alignleft size
 -full wp-image-67518" src="https://artf.cms.arts.ubc.ca/wp-content/uploads/
 sites/24/2024/08/AlumniPanel_Parveen_CircleCrop.png" alt="" width="150" hei
 ght="150" /> Prof. Praveen Sandhu is a distinguished professional in the fi
 eld of mediation and arbitration\, a natural progression from a career in c
 ommercial litigation in Vancouver. Her current practice is international bu
 t primarily in Canada. Praveen has a number of designations from recognized
  institutions and numerous professional affiliations across the globe. And 
 it all started here\, at UBC\, with her undergraduate degree in Political S
 cience and then her Juris Doctor from the Allard School of Law. She has bee
 n a lawyer since 2004.</p><p><strong>Will Tao (he/him)\, BA’11 Internationa
 l Relations and History and JD’14\, LLM’24</strong><br /><img class="alignl
 eft size-full wp-image-67519" src="https://artf.cms.arts.ubc.ca/wp-content/
 uploads/sites/24/2024/08/AlumniPanelWillTao_CircleCrop.png" alt="" width="1
 50" height="150" /> Will Tao is a Canadian Immigration\, Refugee Citizenshi
 p\, Public and Administrative Lawyer interested in the intersection between
  law\, policy\, and research. He co-founded Heron Law Offices in 2021 to pr
 ovide legal services in all areas of Canadian immigration and refugee law w
 ith a particular focus on complex refusals\, appeals\, and judicial reviews
  of international student\, family class\, and foreign worker-related appli
 cations.</p><p><strong>Saralyn Purdie (she/her)\, BA’14 Philosophy</strong>
 <br /><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-67519" src="https://artf.cms
 .arts.ubc.ca/wp-content/uploads/sites/24/2024/09/Saralyn_ArtofLaw.png" alt=
 "" width="150" height="150" /> Starting her career with an unpaid internshi
 p after her first year at UBC\, Saralyn is now an associate lawyer at an es
 tablished entertainment law firm in Toronto. Between her undergrad in philo
 sophy and a subsequent law degree in the UK\, she worked with well-known po
 p\, rock and country artists at one of Canada's biggest independent record 
 labels. Saralyn was called to the BC bar in 2022\, and is now on the board 
 of directors for Music BC and represents music clients across the country.<
