The successful candidate must hold a PhD (or expect to have successfully defended prior to the position start date) and must be within five years of having been awarded the PhD degree at the start of the position.

The Postdoctoral Fellow will be expected to participate actively in UBC’s Speech in Context Lab directed by Prof. Molly Babel. There will also be opportunities for the Postdoctoral Fellow to interact with UBC colleagues on research and teaching. Applicants should submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a one-page statement of research plans, up to 2 sample publications, and evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness. Application materials should be submitted online at https://linguistics.ubc.ca/positions/postdoctoral. In addition, applicants should arrange for three confidential letters of reference to be sent directly to:

Vicki Ferguson, Manager of Administration, Department of Linguistics, The University of British Columbia, ling.admin@ubc.ca.

Completed applications and reference letters must be received by June 1, 2018.  Please include “Phonetics Postdoc Search” in the email subject line. For questions about the position, please contact Professor Molly Babel at molly.babel@ubc.ca.
