What is your best study strategy/tip?

The first and most important thing I would recommend is to surround yourself with positive people, as their energy will positively impact your study habits. In terms of studying, my best piece of advice would be to use flashcards whenever possible. Online platforms like Quizlet come in handy when studying for midterms and exams.

If you could travel back in time to your first year at UBC, what is one thing you would do differently?

One thing I would do differently if I could go back in time to my first year at UBC is to have been more outspoken right away. At first, I was a little afraid to venture outside of my comfort zone, which caused me to lose out on some early chances to participate and make new friends. Whether it’s joining clubs or going to events, I’ve come to appreciate the importance of taking the initiative in retrospect. UBC has a lot to offer and I would have loved the chance to take advantage of it sooner!
