Strategic Plan 2025-2030

Action 1: Create a cohesive framework for reciprocal engagement by developing a Reciprocal Engagement Toolkit with tailored versions for internal Faculty members and external partners, establishing clear processes to streamline and coordinate engagement across units, and publishing an annual report measuring alumni and community engagement efforts

Goal 2: Deepen long-term reciprocal relationships with communities beyond campus

Action 1: Build capacity in addressing Classroom Climate needs and concerns, while reducing the disproportionate burden placed on junior, racialized, and marginalized faculty and staff in managing these topics

Goal 4: Cultivate an equity-based teaching and learning community that are empowered to manage difficult conversations in the classroom with intentional dialogue, empathy, and respect for complexities

Action 2: Explore ways to involve and incentivize academic units in the development, sustainment, and promotion of interdisciplinary offerings within and beyond FoA

Goal 2: Promote a culture of interdisciplinarity in teaching and learning within the FOA

Action 1: Foster faculty-wide conversations on the meaning and standards of research excellence in today’s context, recognizing and embracing diverse approaches and knowledge systems

Goal 1: Promote innovation and research excellence
