The Art of Entreprenuership, our first Arts Career Conversation of 2021/22, will bring together a diverse panel of Arts alumni who have found success as small business owners, as independent contractors and through other entrepreneurial ventures. Hear practical advice and hard-won wisdom to help you craft your own career path and begin your plan for life after graduation.

A moderated panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the audience:

  • Meg O’Hara, BA’14 (AHVA)
    CEO, Meg O’Hara Creative
    Meg is a Canadian landscape painter. In 2021, Meg was awarded the esteemed BC Business 30 Under 30 award. Her work is collected by private and corporate clients across Canada, the United States and Europe.
  • Stephen Morgan, BA’13 (ENGL)
    Co-Founder, Base 10 Productions
    After working for six years as a communications supervisor at ElectroRecycle, Stephen branched out to start his own video production and media company, Base 10 Productions, where he now produces and shoots commercials and short films.
  • Lina Zdruli, BA’14 (IR)
    Founder, Dafero
    Lina is a social entrepreneur who founded and is currently running dafero, a social enterprise supporting vulnerable women, such as refugees and former trafficking victims, through life skills and workplace training.
  • Connie Chang, BA’07 (ENGL/HIST)
    Founder & Principal, Type C Consulting
    Connie is an entrepreneur, connector, relationship builder, and community leader. Her innate curiosity and talent for creative problem solving drives her work as principal of Type C Consulting, a full-service digital communications and consulting agency.
