UBC Arts Multilingual Week invites UBC students to attend an exciting addition to this year’s programming, an expert-led panel on “The Value in Learning a Less Commonly Taught Language” (LCTLs). Join us to explore some of the rich and diverse languages offered through the Faculty of Arts that still await your discovery! As members of the UBC Less Commonly Taught Languages Consortium, spirited instructors from various linguistic backgrounds will show students how taking a course in one of the wide range of LCTLs taught could very well be one of your most valuable experiences at UBC.
This event is a part of Arts Multilingual Week 2024 from March 4 to 8. Join us to celebrate multilingualism and immerse in various activities to engage with different languages and cultures. There are opportunities to showcase artistic expressions of multilingualism, discuss career prospects for multilingual graduates, and participate in activities such as poetry slams and art competitions.
