Enter the virtual gallery and experience Shadows, Strings & Other Things: The Enchanting Theatre of Puppets. This award-winning virtual exhibit on the art of puppetry and storytelling is now available in an immersive online format along with many added features and learning activities including: Teaching Kits, Podcasts, Videos and more! Discover over 230 unique, hand-crafted puppets, from Asia, Europe, and the Americas which have been organized over five theatrical staged areas. Shadows, Strings & Other Things is based on the temporary exhibition (May 16 – October 14, 2019) curated by Dr. Nicola Levell and installed at the University of British Columbia’s world renowned Museum of Anthropology. The exhibition earned the 2020 Canadian Museums Award of Outstanding Achievement in the Exhibition – Cultural Heritage.
