In this talk, Bill will discuss ways to react when things go sideways in your life, in your studies, or at work. Stories of his own personal failures, some against the backdrop of his time at UBC, will help to illustrate some of these strategies. He’ll end the talk by leaving students with concrete habits they should form to best recover from failure, and hopefully, see failure as the best teacher we’ve always known.
