An Arts degree gives you the flexibility to specialize in more than one academic discipline.
Review program options to determine if you are required to apply to the program or declare it on Workday Student.
Bachelor of Arts students must have a major, Honours, or IDST program in order to graduate. It is highly recommended that Bachelor of Arts students have their program declared before Year 3 registration.
Adding or changing your major
Some majors may be declared after 27 credits, while others require declaration after 54 credits.
You can declare your major on Workday Student during your allocated registration period or submit a program change form if you wish to change your program outside of your allocated registration time.
Adding a minor
Arts students can add most minors through Workday Student after 27 credits.
A minor in a discipline taught in the Faculty of Arts requires a total of up to 30 credits or more in the program, 18 of which must be at the 300 level or higher.
You can also choose a minor from selected disciplines in the Faculties of Science, Education, and Land and Food Systems.
Some minors require certain courses, grade averages, or an application, so ensure you consult the department offering the minor.
